Estelle is a distant relative of the current royal family, but that was enough to make her a candidate for the throne. She's since decided she wants neither to be a ruler nor a healer (despite her awesome-sauce natural talent for it), and instead has decided she'd rather write books.

Estelle is a little naive, since she spent most of her life never leaving the castle, but she's a very practical, informed naive, as she had ample access to books. She can be a little over-eager, but she means well.
